Don Tracy: Manufacturing Growth Can Help Rebuild the American Dream in Illinois

SPRINGFIELD - According to recent analysis from Jason Trennert, CEO of Strategas Research Partners, supply-side tax provisions and incentives in the ‘Working Families Tax Cut Bill’ aimed at restoring domestic manufacturing could drive up to 15 percent earnings growth in 2026, as American industry expands and supply chains come home.

“This is the kind of common-sense economic policy Illinois working families need,” U.S. Senate Candidate Don Tracy said. “When we cut taxes, reduce regulatory barriers, and encourage domestic manufacturing, we lower costs, raise wages, and create stable jobs that help families get ahead as they pursue their own American Dream.”

Tracy has repeatedly made the case that restoring America’s manufacturing base is critical to lowering the cost-of-living and rebuilding opportunity in Illinois, where small and midsize manufacturers form the backbone of local economies.

“For decades, politicians chose trade policies subsidizing China, Europe and other strong international economies over the American economy. The result was hollowed-out towns, higher prices, and families forced to make impossible choices. A US manufacturing renaissance reverses that damage by creating good-paying jobs, strengthening supply chains, and easing the price pressures hitting groceries, gas, utilities, health care, and housing.

“Unlike my Democrat opponents, who continue to support policies that ship manufacturing and jobs overseas, I’ll fight for policies that reward and encourage work, support domestic manufacturers, and lower the cost-of-doing business. That’s how we make the American Dream achievable again, not just in Chicago, but in all 102 counties of Illinois.”
